Project Director Irina Vasilyeva successfully completed a search for the General Director for a manufacturing subsidiary of our client’s — one of Russia’s leading mining companies.
The complexity of the search lay in the customer’s desire to find a dynamic, young leader, who at the same time had a solid experience of working for a large production and trading company and was ready to relocate to one of the Russian regions. What was important was not only a set of senior executive’s competencies and experience that would allow to introduce major changes in business processes but also a potential for further growth.
As it turned out, there were few suitable candidates on the labor market: either companies were smaller, or manufacturing experience was not enough; or there were not enough competencies or charisma. In search of the “right” candidate, an unusually long list of companies had to be mapped out and gone through, with the focus on FMCG and the manufacturing sector. Among the ten candidates presented to the client, a worthy finalist was selected. After passing a large number of selection and evaluation stages, he began working in that role in the fall of 2019.
