The most recent search project conducted by Natalia Simis unexpectedly took a long time — it lasted over a year!
The position — Head of Internet Projects — seemed understandable and interesting, and the customer was one of the favorite international clients who came to CONSORT through the International Executive Search Federation over ten years ago. The challenge, however, lay in wait for the consultant in an unexpected place: the vision of this role in the company’s HQ and in the Russian office were very different from each other.
Throughout the search process, candidates’ requirements changed several times and, consequently, the search format had to be changed. There were finalists already selected but the search had to be started from scratch all over again, and in these moments — no need to hide this — the consultant wanted to drop everything.
But backtracking was not an option. It was unthinkable to let down a client who for many years has been loyal to our company and, moreover, openly discussed with us the search complex issues.
But as they say nothing is impossible. Eventually, Natalia’s team found a person who met the expectations of all of the client’s representatives. The search was completed, and we continued our co-operation with this client!
