Yury Mikhailov, Managing Partner of Consort Petersburg, took part in the Points for Growth conference organized by Vedomosti newspaper in St Petersburg. This year the business publication, celebrating its 20th anniversary, summed up not only its work results but also the city’s milestones of the past two decades.
“I learned with interest, says Yury Mikhailov, that despite the difficulties in the Russian economy, in 2019 St Petersburg’s industry will show some growth, with automotive, pharma, construction, and IT continuing to be its drivers.” Along with this, the speakers noted a number of unresolved problems that impeded the city’s more effective development. “An economic growth requires not only availability of strong managers but also attraction of highly qualified personnel from all over the country. And I would emphasize this as a pronounced trend on the St Petersburg’s people market,” concluded Yury Mikhailov.
