On 29 May 2019, the Captains of the Russian Business national award ceremony, organized for the 11th time by the Personnel Management magazine, was held at Savoy Hotel in Moscow. CONSORT Group received two diplomas: The Best Search Firm and Business Reputation. The Group’s senior managers Julia Balakina and Mikhail Bogdanov were also awarded personal The Best Expert on the Personnel Market diplomas.
The idea behind the award is to identify the best practices and further consolidate a community of all those involved in HR management. In addition to HR Department Heads, these are CEOs (with so much depending on them!), and external consultants, including business trainers, and, naturally, search firms. By the way, according to the award organizers’ thinking, search firms put forward nominees’ names: after all, search firms “are sitting on the fence”, as it were, working with many companies on the market, and therefore they can see better who and how deals with personnel.
The awards (a diploma and a captain’s cap) ceremony was preceded by a conference on the current topic of HR branding, or, using a more modern term, Employer branding. One of the major keynotes of the speeches was that a goal of promoting the employer’s image should not be assigned solely to HR Department; all other departments and, of course, senior management, including the CEO, should be actively involved in the effort. It is significant in this regard that the conference was attended not only by HR managers but also a number of general directors of Russian and international companies who proactively participated.
