In mid-March 2020, Consort Petersburg (Russia) completed a search assignment referred to us by the IESF Partner Gertjan van de Groep from the Netherlands.
His Dutch client Van der Vlist Transportgroep — a leading provider of specialist logistics and forwarding multi-modal solutions across the world — requested in mid-January a General Manager to lead their team in Russia. It was a very productive collaboration with the Dutch company (owned by two brothers, with the business history of 85 years) who were very prompt in interviewing Consort’s candidates while visiting Russia a few times. The hired Russian General Manager has had a huge experience of working for leading European transportation companies, with an emphasis on out-of-gauge cargo, as specified by Van der Vlist. Gertjan checked with the client who were happy with the service delivery, and he congratulated Russia saying it was “very well done, and very quick as well”.
