SCHOTTEL opened up a branch office in St Petersburg in March 2011 andappointed CONSORT’s candidate Sergey Chestny as its Branch Manager. In this key post Sergey will be heading Schottel’s first-ever branch in Russia of this leading German manufacturer of propulsion and steering systems for ships and offshore applications.
Prior to joining Schottel, Sergey worked for both western and larger Russian companies. At GS-Hydro (hydraulic piping market), he served as Managing Director being responsible for company’s development in Russia. His earlier experience included seven years in the roles of Sales & Marketing Director as well as Executive Director with Marine Technics, a leading supplier of marine and industrial equipment in the Russian Federation, CIS and Baltic countries. Sergey’s in-depth knowledge of the marine/ship-building sector and an MBA degree from IMISP clearly stands him out in the maritime market.
Reporting directly to HQ in Spay, Germany, Mr. Chestny will be responsible for developing business and sales in Russia.
